Laser Treatment Care Tips
Before laser treatment:
-
Hair must be 1 - 3 mm long, not completely shaved, not longer. Shave 2 - 3 days before your appointment, or cut as short as possible with a machine.
-
Skin must be clean. No creams, lotions or makeup and no redness like sunburn or any irritation.
After laser treatment:
-
Avoid sun exposure for 48 hours after your treatment.
-
Always use an spf 50+ cream to the treated areas, especially the face.
-
You can shave 24 hours after your treatment and you are allowed to shave between appointments as many times as you like.
-
Avoid creams with salicylic acid, retinol and don't exfoliate if the skin is irritated.
In general:
Nd:yag laser is a strong laser targeting the melanin of the hair and the haemoglobin in the blood vessels that help the hair to grow. The hair we treat must be black, dark brown or brown colour. Blonde, red, grey and white hair cannot be treated. In addition, a cold air machine is used to make the treatment very comfortable.
Side effects:
Redness and swelling of the follicles are common side effects. Rarely blisters or scabs may occur on sensitive treated areas.
For better results:
Staying on schedule, one session every 4 - 6 weeks is essential for achieving the best permanent hair removal results.

Always inform your beautician about medications you may take or any hormonal imbalances you may have.
